Oliver Doodle and the Thanksgiving Pie Mystery
A cozy Thanksgiving mystery about a missing pie, two detective dogs, and the joy of making room.
It is Thanksgiving morning, and the kitchen should smell like cinnamon and crust. Instead, Oliver Doodle finds an empty pie tin. The timer did not simply break. Berry juice stains the button. A tiny pawprint dots the counter. Near the fence, one crumb sits on a leaf beside a shiny acorn cap.
Oliver is a white goldendoodle in round glasses and a brown backpack. His best friend, Phoebe Ann, is a brindle French bulldog in pearls. Together they follow the trail into the autumn woods - past suspicious squirrels, a cat named Maple, and woodland neighbors who wanted a taste of the feast.
What they find is bigger than the missing pie. There is a prayer in the woods. There is a table with extra chairs. There is room enough for everyone who was hungry.
By bedtime, Oliver's glasses are crooked again, and Phoebe Ann's pearls are dusted with crumbs. It has become the most memorable Thanksgiving yet.
Because gratitude is not only the feast. It is community. It is kindness. It is prayer. And it is the joy of making room.
Oliver Doodle and the Thanksgiving Pie Mystery is a warm, faith-filled picture book for read-aloud nights, Thanksgiving tables, and families who like a little mystery with their pie.
