The Empire has been at peace for decades, and that is unlikely to end anytime soon. The Great War ensured that the Lich and most all over supernatural threats (threats being a broad term) have been purged from the continent. The Guard ensures that the law is enforced from the human filled cities to the elven tribes in the woods to the orc homes in the planes. Stability and order have been established. This leaves the adventurers of old, such as Langston Trailwood, in a bit of sad state. Without monsters to fight or people to save, Langston attempts to relieve his glory years through mercenary work and private investigations, yet he is unable to fully envelop himself in the feeling of adventure. That is until a mysterious letter finds its way to Langston's home, calling for him and his disbanded adventuring party to reunite and save the village of Spreak from an unknown danger. The perfect excuse for Langston to bring the band back together.
