OKTORAIL The New Model Railway Exhibit by Marklin in Germany In Germany, in the city of Essen a new model railway exhibit was opened in June, 2014. It is a wonderful model railway layout of 400 square meters built in HO scale, representing the industrial heritage of the Ruhr Metropolitan Region. First, the old Ruhr Metropolitan Region in the 1960's is shown with its trains, landscapes and coal mines. Then, the famous steel industry of the Ruhr valley is presented by a big iron and steel works. Next, there is the modern Ruhr Metropolitan Region, consisting of a great central station with more than ten platforms (tracks), cities, fairground, and the German lifestyle. This picture book is printed in full color with more than beautiful 200 photos (photo size: 6.3'' x 3.5'').
