Ohno and the Yonder Creek Mystery: A Yonder Creek Adventure

By Cheryl A McKenzie

Ohno and the Yonder Creek Mystery

Something strange is happening in Yonder Creek

First, the colorful WELCOME sign disappears from the library. Then a park bench cushion goes missing. A garden flag vanishes. So does a picnic basket. And when Ready's wagon disappears, Ohno and his friends know they have a real mystery on their paws

Figure studies the clues. Ready is ready for action. Moxie keeps everyone moving. Pal listens carefully. And Ohno? Well...Ohno worries.

But while everyone else is busy trying to solve the mystery, Ohno keeps noticing little things that don't quite make sense. Those worries might be more useful than anyone realizes.

The trail eventually leads the friends to Rummage the Pack Rat and a wonderfully ridiculous nest filled with colorful "treasures" from all over Yonder Creek. Rummage wasn't trying to be a thief-he thought he had simply found everything he needed to make the perfect home.

With kindness, teamwork, and a little understanding, the friends help Rummage put things right-and discover that the very thing that makes someone different can also be one of their greatest strengths.

Ohno and the Yonder Creek Mystery is a warm, funny picture-book adventure about friendship, empathy, problem-solving, and recognizing the value in the way each of us sees the world.

Because sometimes worrying is also paying attention.
