Lincoln Was Right, Without Ohio America Would Be Different

Knepper offers a history of the Buckeye State, and in the process a history of its impact the US. Many people have noted this legacy, but Knepper illustrates how it did occur. In this book you will also be given a look at the people who helped settle and maintain the great state of Ohio. You will not get a lot about the cultural impact of Ohio, but then what can canned pumpkin and a soapbox derby do? The book is very readable, but is a textbook, so be forewarned that it might drag at sports. However, if you love Ohio it is worth the price on the cover.

Ohio and it's people

This book gives you a comprehensive early picture of growth in the State of Ohio. I liked the chapters about the Indian cultures and conflicts.
