Ricky Rooster has a big problem; the previous night, the wind blew a thorn into his beak. Now there is even a bigger problem too; Ricky must wake the farm animals at exactly 6:04 in the morning, when the sun begins to rise. How is he going to accomplish this with a thorn stuck in his beak? This is a funny, rhyming story of a Rooster who asks for the help of his friends to get him out of a painful situation. Will Connie Cow be able to help? Can Daniel Duck help Ricky out? What about Pammy Pig or Sharon Sheep? Maybe Wayne Woodpecker will come to the rescue.

The reader can raise their right hand every time they come to the phrase, "6:04." When the person, child or children listening to the story sees their right hand raised, they will yell out, "6:04." This interactive story instills focus and good listening skills and will have the children laughing and waiting with anticipation for the next time to join in the story.
