Oh, but God

November 5, 2018, at approximately 3:00a.m., I was awakened by the impact of my husband falling backward on the bed where I lay sleeping. IMMEDIATELY, I responded with, "You okay, Honey?"

No answer.

I sat up, reached for the lamp, and turned it on. I tried to get him to respond by shaking him and moving his head from side to side but to no avail. It was then I knew that life as I had known it would forever be changed.
