The official book of the Women's National Basketball Association, it's the most complete, annually updated preview for the coming season. From schedules and roster for all the teams, to bios and stats... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This guide nearly has it all for the number-crunching WNBA fan. Want to know the Monarchs' record in 1997? How about the 1999 team statistics for the Comets? Maybe you want to know some obscure stat to impress your friends at parties? Perhaps you want to make sure you've got the rules down pat before you scream at the refs for blowing a call? This yearly guide has all that as well team rosters and schedules (though the roster is only as good as the day they inserted it), national TV schedule, brief player bios, award winners, and other useful information. I've found the guides to be a good reference for a variety of questions. The downside being the current year's personnel listing isn't necessarily completely accurate and unless I'm misinterpreting the statistical categories, I think there are a handful of discrepancies. Items I would like to see included: a complete list of team transactions including free agent assignments and camp rosters; final year-by-year by rosters (not easily deduced from the team statistics); complete yearly attendance statistics; statistical breakdowns by conference; and probably half a dozen other obscure things few people care about but some of us infohounds are interested in.
