Five high school friends---a former athlete, nerds and brainiacs--solve a major school board computer crime, all while preparing their final history presentation on the War of 1812 between Britain (and what would become Canada) and America. The mixed race, LGBTQ+ and heterosexual group works together to figure out "who done it" and to put forward the best presentation possible. There are twists and turns in both aspects of the novel as the group works diligently to solve the computer crime, and prepare the presentation, while ensuring obstacles like chronic conditions and sexuality do not get in the way.
