Battling mental illness can be lonely and difficult. It gets hard remembering you're not alone when all roads seem like a dead end. Of Unsound Mind is a concoction of thoughts, feelings, and narratives of battling mental illness, heart break, loss, and loneliness, as well including little lighthearted works with hidden meanings. Separated into three sections: the relation in relationships, sentiments of the broken, and the unsound mind, this collection is a first time poetry writer's life experiences through relationships, emotions, and mental illnesses.

This is author Jesenia Vazquez's first published book. This book is full of her poetry from when she first started writing to more recent works. Though this book may not be of a more experienced poet quality, publishing this book was a huge accomplishment and a big step towards healing her "unsound mind".
