Of the Glen is the second in a series of mystery romances, which feature the couple Millicent and Lute Girard. Millicent and Lute are amateur detectives because fate continues to throw challenges their way. In Of the Glen, Millicent, a college professor and horse farm manager, is inadvertently caught up in the machinations of a serial killer, when he chooses his victims from the college campuses of central Kentucky. Millicent concludes that he is making a G with his selections. In addition, the killer selects coeds with names like Glynis and Glenda. He leaves their bodies on the glens of central Kentucky horse country. Millicent teaches at a central Kentucky university, EKU, which Millicent apprehends might just form the lower half of his G. She has several students with names he might select. Millicent cannot help herself; she must try to stop this killer. And since Of the Glen is also the continuation of the Millicent/Lute love story, Lute quite naturally has to help Millicent solve the crimes. Or maybe in this case, Lute may need to save Millicent from becoming the next victim.
