Alex opens his lunchbox, hoping to be blown apart by an explosive, but only finding a ham sandwich. It's just another work week, an endless cycle of alarm clocks and factory buzzers just to make a living. His supervisor doesn't supervise, his coworkers are teeming with apathy, customers belittle him, and the factory manager is actively trying to fire every employee. But, hey, at least he has the weekend ... sometimes. Finding himself trapped in this humdrum lifestyle without warning, Alex submits to the ludicrous policies and events within the company, believing that this is "just the way things are". It will take an especially messy series of events to break him of his zombie-like work trance and his coworkers will be all too happy to contribute. A simple question is raised: How does one escape a culture where workers are nothing more than "human resources"?
