Excellent book for filling in the gaps

If you have a non-traditional path into and through witchcraft, this is a fantastic book for workings here and there. I have used multiple workings in here, as well as elements in my own workings, to my success. Of course, all witchcraft is subject to the practitioner's belief in oneself, conviction, and ability. The only thing I do not like, is how apologetic the author seems about some of the less glamorous elements of witchcraft, such as using bodily fluids. She explains in great detail, but has many disclaimers. If a witch is not ready for something like that, they should stick with books for beginners like Ravenwolf and Konstantinos and other little books. The approaches in this book have helped bridge the gap I personally had between restorative magic and full heavy hexes that curse an entire bloodline. I recommend it to all my Pagan sisters and brothers that need some payback.

Easy read and informative

I liked this book and the chapter on death was very comforting for anyone going through a loss or soon to be loss. I was expecting it to be more advanced hexes and curses though for someone that did something terrible to you, not the hexes for minor annoyances. There were some more advanced ones but not exactly what I was looking for out of it. It seemed kind of wiccan based with talking about three fold law (though the author doesn't agree with it) and casting a circle while calling on the elements. It was very well written and good to read even if you don't use any of the spells in it.
