Mon apprentissage de la taille du granit, qui se fit dans les carri?res de Bretagne, fut pour moi, initiatique . J'ai travaill?, et appris au c?t? de vieux tailleurs de pierres , les gestes transmis ? travers les si?cles . J'ai retrouv? les traces de ces m?mes gestes dans les blocs de granit de la cath?drale du Mont St Michel, tout comme dans la petite chapelle de granit rose de la Clart? ? Perros-Guirec. La r?gion des hautes Laurentides o? je suis n? et je travaille maintenant , a toujours ?t? d?crite comme une terre de roches . Ce n'est peut-?tre pas par hasard , si je m''y retrouve aujourd'hui.My apprenticeship of working with granite took place in the quarries of Brittany, it was for me an initiatory journey. I learned along side old stone Macons, the gestures transmitted through centuries. I have found traces of those same gestures in the granite stones of Mount St. Michel's cathedral , and the same in the pink granite of the small chapel of La Clart? in Perros-Guirec. The region of the Laurentians where I was born and now work, has always been described as a land of stones. My presence here at this time, might not be just by chance .
