While most remember Ms. Oliver as a prolific actress who appeared on virtually every 1960's TV show, she discoverd flying as a young adult and it is obvious she had a talent for it. That is what attracted me to the book. As a pilot, I've read hundreds of books by pilots - certainly all the famous ones. Oliver's book fits right in. She was one of us - clearly at home in the sky but also very professional. I wish I knew more about her flying life after the Atlantic flight. I felt a real kinship with her.
Quite a Lady

As the last reviewer Steve stated, Susan Oliver was a special lady. She experienced most of what life had to offer. Susan's book is really a lesson in life. She always did things to the best of her ability. Her book shows what can be done when one tries. Her book is very entertaining also. As she describes her solo flight you can't wait to get to the next chapter. Susan was a very kind person which comes through in her book. I highly recommend her book to everyone. Read it and you will become a Susan Oliver fan too. To my friend Steve Carter, Sacamento,CA, I say thanks for the kind words of Susan.

Read this book! The feelings and experiences that Susan Oliver struggled with, are some of the same feelings and experiences I have had. As with the last reviewer, I wish I had met her. She found the true meaning to life. Forgiving others sets us free.
