All humans innately understand that nature has a powerful and mysterious attraction. Most humans can appreciate a sunrise or sunset, clouds moving across the sky, waves crashing on a beach, or watching wildlife interact with the environment.

Nature is all around; it touches everything and is in everything humans create.

Water is the most abundant substance in the world, and it makes earth unique from the rest of the universe.

Earth is known as a water planet.

Rightfully so, as the earth has more water real estate than land. Water can be found in the soil, the air, and all living things.

Water covers 71 percent of the earth, with 97 percent residing in the oceans.

The English word ocean comes from the Old French word occean, which means a large body of water.

This book is not a guide or how-to book. The intention was to create an experience by capturing nature via sight through imagery and language. In this book, the creators hope to have captured and expressed, however small, the essence of the ocean.
