As the title "Ocean Petal," suggests, this collection of poetry is inspired by the idea of greatness within the little. Something monumental and eternal, the ocean, is connected with something that comparatively lasts a mere moment─a petal. And yet, there is something monumental and eternal in its image. Surely an ocean, with all its power and expanse can be found in a single moment─a wave mounting high is perhaps not so different from a petal floating through the air. Using this frame of imaginative thought, love, friendship, memory, life, and experience are explored in this poetry collection through familiar images like the drifting of a leaf and the flickering of a light. This collection of poetry is a kaleidescope of moments, which together illuminate life itself.
