Twelve-year-old Michael and his family have sold everything they own to embark on an incredible adventure of living on a cruise liner for the rest of their lives. As Michael grows up, he falls in love twice, but only one woman stays by his side, Kathryn. He teaches her everything he knows about the ocean, and they embark on a life together on the cruise ship. When Kathryn becomes pregnant with twins, Michael is ecstatic. However, the delivery is complicated, takes 13 hours, but finally, the ship's doctor holds up two babies, and announces, "Congratulations, its twins, a boy and a girl!"
