Carter O'Brien's gun is for hire, but only when the job - and the money - are right.
The Texas Rangers sent Carter O'Brien south of the border with orders to kill a madman. His target - a murderous bandit named Salazar - had the face of an angel and the heart of a demon. Judging by the tall tales, O'Brien figured he needed killing. Given the choice, he'd sooner have faced Salazar in a head-on gunfight than turn back-shooter and kill him from hiding.
But Salazar's gang of cut-throats would fight to the death to save him. Someone else's death, that is. O'Brien knew if - and when - he took on one, he would have to fight all of them.
