when we were younger, we were taught how to read from left to right. we were taught to cross at crosswalks. what about the unspoken rules that are cradled in between the arches of words? what about the objects in the mirror that we miss at first glance? what about the rules lost in a place kept by time? what if you forget the rules you've never learned? our minds are endless tunnels of art and emotion. our minds are the objects in the mirror. our minds create more than the world can hold. poetry is just rough drafts of a person's thoughts. the objects in the mirror, the unspoken rules of life. poetry knows when you're broken into tiny shards of glass, and knows how you can be put back together again. all. by. yourself. this is my rough draft. my objects in the mirror past the shards of glass.
