Alighting on the White House to bestow

Thus begins the poet's flight from Heaven to Earth as he pits the divine power of angels and prophets against the sceptered sway of presidents and kings.

In Obama's Dream, we are introduced to Abdiel, the first angel who overpowered Satan in the original battle for Heaven. Since then, he has returned to aid the great prophet Elijah in ancient Israel, and still continues to intervene in the politics of men.

Now, his mission is to bring a president face-to-face with the imperial agenda he is about to hand over to Donald Trump. Then, Obama is brought before the throne of God where he must find mercy for his soul, even as Satan accuses him, and four-winged creatures look on.

In this epic poem, the opening act of a three-book drama, LeRoy recalls the style of Shakespeare and the monumental visions of Homer and Dante. This while invoking immortal themes from mythology and sacred texts, especially the books of Ezekiel and Revelation.
