Looking for Mr. Right, but finding Mr. Wrong.

Nyagra's Falls is the entertaining tale of Nyagra Ensley and the ups and downs and joys and heartaches of dating. Nyagra, a beautiful and successful sister, is looking for a good man to love. Instead, she comes up empty handed repeatedly. Is it the men? Or is it Nyagra? Nyagra's Falls is a story of one woman's quest for love that turns into a much needed journey of self discovery. Good book, and from the number of reviews, very much underrated. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed. Reviewed by: Toni

we fall down

but we get back up. so, i was disappointed to find out about the main character's love interest, his affair, his indiscretion, and i was sad to see their relationship end. sort of. but i found nyagra so comfortable, even though she was sort of superficial and maybe even worried about the wrong things. i know that woman-- i've even been that woman! so this novel was engaging and well-crafted with intelligent use of language and interesting depiction of characters. i wanted the first relationship to work, and the second prospect seemed hopeful, and i am glad that it worked out in the end. valentine has created a bedside book that delivers an encouraging message in the end. Stop Looking and Let that man find you

Nyagra's Falls chronicles the ups and downs of Nyagra Ensley's romances. Nyagra is a sister who is making things happen in the wonderful world of marketing. 32 years old, and already VP of one of the largest marketing firms she is all of that. She is looking for a man who can match her point for point and that's where she discovers her biggest mistake.Nyagra's romances read like a who's who. They include the non-committal dentist, the older distinguished widower, a business colleague of hers, and who will ever forget her still nursing from his momma NFL star. Not only is she unsuccessful in her personal life her family life is shot to heck also. Although Nyagra has some issues the rest of her siblings got ISSUEZ. She tries to steer clear of them to maintain her sanity although she always makes time for her mother. Her best friend Trish, who is married to a NBA player, tries to help navigate Nyagra through her personal dilemmas but her choices for Nyagra aren't any better. In the end Nyagra has to realize that in order to change her situation she must change herself.Michelle Valentine's Nyagra's Falls is a good read. Happiness Must First Come From Within

In Nyagra's Falls, author Michelle Valentine creates a very good story about self-discovery and how you have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with someone else. The protagonist, Nyagra Ensley suffers through a series of bad relationships. Her problem is she bases the man's potential on his economic status and job position instead of what is in their hearts. Time after time she is disappointed. After the last big disappointment, she takes a vacation by herself to Niagara Falls to meditate on her life. She discovers things about herself that she does not like and vows to make some positive changes. She returns home and has a new approach to life. Nyagra's men includes a cheating live-in boyfriend, a lying CEO who romances her, a good looking older gentleman dependent on Viagra, a pro football player who is a Mama's boy and a Fed Ex delivery man. Nyagra's best friend Trish, her sister Juanita and her mother try to provide wisdom and reality checks, but Nyagra is very strong willed. This aspect of her personality almost makes her lose the best thing that has come her way in a long time.Although there were some problems with redundancy, I was pleasantly surprised with the message and theme of this book. Initially, I thought this book was going to be one of those drama filled "he done me wrong" kind of reads, but it was nothing of the sort. A reader could surely learn a lesson or two from this debut author offering. I would recommend this book to put on your summer reading list. Jeanette APOOO BookClub

A Must Read!!!

Nyagra Ensley has much drama in her life. From finding her man with another woman in the house they share to her dysfunctional family. After throwing her hat back into the dating game, she runs across a few relationships that would make the best of us run in the opposite direction. The divoreced but married excutive, the I can't get it going without my viagra king, and the hot jock, mama's boy. After much resistance she finally gives in and goes out with the handsome delivery guy, Will. Will shows Nyagra that sometimes when we set our standards too high, we just may miss out on Mr. Right. I laughed, I cried, and even got mad while reading this book. When a book can pull out that many emotions, it's a definite winner. This book would be an excellent candidate to hit the big screen. Kudos to Ms. Valentine for a job well done.
