Viola Marpessa was born special, even among the Faerie folk. She was born to be a Faerie sorceress, so her parents relinquished her as an infant to the magic wielding community on Shadow Mountain, where the dragons dwell. There she grew up and learned to use her gifts. Getting there though proves to be an adventure. She and her two escorts encounter a number of strangers and surprises: a half-mortal, half-Faerie Bandit King and his band of malcontents, an antiquarian Redcap Bogle, a pile of evil called Badenoch Castle, and five fearsome Jinn. But home she will go and nothing will stop her from being reunited with her sisters, not even the Jinn sending their castle flying across the great cloud seas.
