i hate where i live!

Nowhere now Here is a great story that Ann Howard Creel has written of a girl named Laney that has moved from Florida to Colorado laney is just getting use to live in Florida the beautiful ocean collecting sea shells and playing in the sand they move to an alpaca farm. I think the author is trying to show that if you don't like something in the begging it may turn out you'll love it in the end. Will laney ever grow to like her new home? Will laney find any friends? To find out check out Nowhere now Here at your local library!

Excellent!

This is an excellent, well-written book. It is about a girl named Laney who has to move. Laney is a very realistic, true character and you can really relate to her because she is so life like you almost think she is a real person. Anyone who enjoyed History Mysteries, the American Girl Library books, Wild at Heart, and the American Girls Collection stories will love this new AG Fiction series. Overall, I recomend buying it.

good story, good subject knowledge

A lot of books about alpacas (and llamas) would have the reader think that they're The Black Stallion and Lassie with the safety of a stuffed toy all in the same package. Not this book! These are REAL alpacas -- sold unhandled for big bucks and to newbies who haven't a clue about handling them, let alone how to raise them responsibly. The author is to be highly commended for not misrepresenting these animals or the practices of the irresponsible majority who are trying to make a fast buck at the alpacas' and buyers' expense. Alpacas are wonderful animals in their own right and in their own way (I have owned two in addition to a number of llamas), and they can be handleable and enjoyable when given knowledgable and individual handling and training. It is a great disservice to them when they are portrayed in literature as being something the real animal could never possibly live up to.Likewise, the character Laney is very real, too. She is not a plastic-perfect image of a girl someone else wants, but a person with her own very real and justified feelings about moving to a new place and lifestyle she doesn't want with no say in the matter. Laney is also not one-dimensional, nor a vindictive or irresponsible person. The story of how she reconciles her internal conflicts is both engrossing and healing to anyone who has gone through a similar experience.

Nowhere,Now Here

I read this book write when it came out last year ,and I still look on my bookshelf and rember how funny this book is even thow, I read this book last year. I still rember what a good the book was. I could relate to Laney a lot because My family moved to Michigan three years ago and I know how tuff it is to move from the home youv`ed lived in your whole life and you move to a strange place and don`t know anybody.this book was relly great even if youv`ed never moved before. This is a really good book!!

The Best Ever

Nowhere, Now Here is the best book I have ever read. Laney is just like a real person, who has to move from her home in Tampa to Colorado to raise alpacas. The first few days are a struggle. The book is short, and easy to read and understand. I love the way it is written by Laney and shows her point of view on everything.
