Brian also starts to walk his dog and learns many things about becoming responsible, including picking up dog waste

In this book, Mr. Brown dies suddenly and Brian has a multitude of complex feeling. He learns to share these with his parents and gains gentle understanding of the subject of death.

The author, who was a school counselor, knows the value of children learning about this touchy subject. It is gently written and all families would benefit from this book.
