This book wishes to awaken an awareness of the spiritual in young readers. Emphasizing the importance of the values of love, care, consideration for others, courtesy, helpfulness, courage, loyalty and connectedness between elders and youth. The story focuses on Notti's education and mission about the spiritual world with time travel to diverse cultures through her dreamtime portal. Guided by her spirit grandfather Notti learns of the cultural conflicts and battles between good and evil. With good centering in unselfish love and harmonious relationships; evil resides in those devoted to material possessions including possession of others with power how it is manifested in violence and war. The good forces must resist them, for in a sense this is a book about battles.

Cherie Andrea Hamilton is a storyteller with a passion for weaving family history, spirituality, and myth into unforgettable adventures for young readers. Drawing inspiration from her own multicultural heritage, she explores themes of ancestry, courage, and belonging.
