A captivating novel based on a true story of one prince's greed, the "Notorious Prince: The First King of Sri Lanka" by prolific author Indika Guruge brings a compelling twist to an even darker part of Sri Lankan history rarely talked about.

When you Google Sri Lanka, all you see is a beautiful island with diverse landscapes that range from plains to highlands, rainforests to lovely sandy beaches - all filled with wildlife and exotic foods.

However, there is still a lot to be uncovered about the history of Sri Lanka's first king and his links to the great Indian kingdom.

Filled with heartbreak, betrayal, and the never-ending fight between good and evil, this novel will take you on an adventure like you have never seen before.

The story begins in 536 BC, when Prince Vijay and his followers were put on trial by the King, his own father, for the egregious crimes they committed against their own people. The despicable prince swears that he will one day topple even the strongest, most well-loved leaders throughout the Indian Ocean.

And so begins his story of redemption.

When he meets the savage Veddas, he uses his influence to forge his own kingdom and cements his place as the king with a new, beautiful queen by his side.

But his personal greed looks to be unsatiable. And Prince Vijay starts scheming his most unforgivable crimes yet.
