Nothing Predictable: A Memoir

This memoir will expose travels unworldly of intricate emotions, unnerving scenarios, and disarranged poverty. In Nothing Predictable, I share moments of sickness and danger that left me numb in fear, intertwined between moments of immeasurable joy that I hope to never forget.

Volunteering in Malawi, Africa at the age of nineteen shaped me into who I am proud to be today. Throughout this memoir, I build a strength and resilience that guides me to breathe, cope, and enjoy the stories and adventures I share with you in Nothing Predictable. I feel humbled by the challenges I have faced; learning to trust and forgive what is beyond my control, and to navigate the privileges I possess as a white North American young woman. This breadth of experience has changed the way in which I see the world and the ways in which I choose to navigate its corruption--emphasizing how powerful simple gestures can be, the understated advice to never assume, and the utmost importance of community.
