silly!

alex is always getting into trouble. but not on purpose. alex thinks her special science projectof taking a care over a pet over the weekend will just prove tyo her parents that she is mature enough. was she ever wrong!

well written and kind of silly

So alex has to care for a pet or an egg for a weekend school project and this is her chance to prove to her parents that she's responsible and old enough to baby sit and get her ears pierced. But since she can't have a pet since her sister meg is allergic to pets, that leaves her with no choice but to carry around an egg. But what does she do instead? steals the neighbor's cats and puts them back before she gets caught, they destroy her garage, she gets an egg, she break the egg, she buys a mouse instead and hides it, they lose the mouse, they find the mouse, her sister loses the mouse, they steal the cats again and then all the pets are loose in the house and alex gets in trouble! She could have easily avoided all this if she wasn't always getting into trouble. It's kind of a silly story, but you may want to read it if you're bored, the descriptions are well written. You feel like you're there, but at the same time, you don't know what could possibly running through this crazy girl's mind! But there's a (sort-of) happy ending to all this so it's not so bad.
