Philip inspired me to go beyond and examine my rebel side.

Philip, a young boy, goes to a public school where they listen to the Star Spangled Banner. When, one morning, he starts humming along, Mrs. Narwin, his homeroom teacher tries to stop him. What develops is a true story about patriotism, and how children change. The journal style book depicts Philip examining rebelliousness in a stage of his life. As it turns out, Philip, though patriotic, doesn't know the words. This was an A+++ book that I couldn't put down.
