Darbee has a gift for making us crack up at the stuff that goes on in the daily life of a family. There is a lot of really funny, really witty writing in his material. Much of the humor is self-deprecating, which makes it even more readable. The jokes are at his own expense, not his wife and kids, which probably explains why they haven't killed him for writing about their life. Tucked into the book are some understated but quite serious themes. Darbee has written a humor book that ends up leaving you with some sound advice on building healthy family relationships. The book affirms the goodness of the family and the goodness of God. A good read!
