Being a teenager is impossibly hard under the best of circumstances. Now take those new hormones, that lack of confidence, that determination to set yourself apart as an individual, and the myriad of questions floating through your mind as you grow, and change into an adult and put yourself in a household of people who might be abusing you emotionally or physically.
