We are constantly told to be nice. Over the years it has become more of an order on how to behave ourselves than how to treat one another. Yes, be nice to one another. Treat everyone as you would like to be treated, but nice has been disguised. We are supposed to act and stop being who we are in order to make people around us feel comfortable. Nice has turned into this mold of normalcy that we're just not interested in being part of. We don't see ourselves reflected on their niceness. We are tired of being told that we have to be nice and stop being so angry. Long gone are the days of having to feel that weight of pressure on our shoulders, of trying to become this image of nice in order to erase who we truly are.
