Not So Brave will pull your heartstrings!

This book relates the trials and triumps of an innocent yet highly spiritual young woman unfairly beset with mounting medical conditions which become life threatening. There are a lot of heartbreaking moments to be sure, but just as many moments that are heartwarming, along with a spectacular ending that will leave you wanting to re-read the story all over again. The author likes to catch the reader off guard, mixing lighter fare with shocking moments along with some eye-opening passages that may challenge the reader's own sense of faith and spirituality. If you were on the fence about organ donation before, reading Not So Brave may very well encourage you to sign your donor card right away as Sara Jones' story will make you realize how precariously precious life can be. Her story is not to be missed!

fasinating story

It was a fascinating story from the very first page. I couldn't put the book down. I felt I knew Sara and suffered when she suffered, and rejoiced when she did. I pray that this book will get more people to consider organ donations and makes people really consider the moral dilemmas that need to be resolved. This was a very interesting story and thought provoking. A must read. Joyce Cox

An unlikely warrior

I started this book at ten p.m. and couldn't put it down till it was finished! What a brave, smart, sassy, needy, wonderful, unlikely hero Sara is. Despite insurmountable odds, from her very first breath of life, Sara fights tooth and nail , clinging to her dad's 3 fingers, to stay in this world. And she succeeds! Thankfully, due to an organ donor (God bless them) but, also, because she has the spirit and strength of a warrior. You must read this book. Sign your donor card. Talk to friends & family. You'll never regret letting Sara Jones & her family into your heart.

Definite page turner

I highly recommend this book. It is a beautiful love story. It is NOT a love story between a man and a woman. It is a love story about life and a young girl's love for life and raw determination to live. Sara Jones was born with the odds stacked against her, but she dug deep within herself to live each day to the fullest despite the pain and suffering she endured most of her young life. The book digs deep into the human soul and explores many areas of human emotion such as fear, pain, joy, laughter, guilt, and love. It questions our existence and why we fight so hard to stay here when we are promised a much better life in heaven. Throughout the book we are privy to Sara's journey through life from an infant up to her early 20's. We experience her ups and downs, tears and laughter as if we are part of her family. We are even given the unique first row seating in the operating room as Sara undergoes her lifesaving heart and liver transplant. Sara's transplant was a turning point in her life, but it wasn't what makes the book so special. Yes, she was given the most ultimate gift any human can give to another human - the gift of life through organ donation, but her story is so special because it addresses our basic human drive to fight as hard as we can to hold onto this life. Why do you think we fight so hard to stay here? Read "Not so Brave" and see if you agree with Sara. I promise, you won't be able to put this book down until you have read the last page. God Bless! An Everlasting Love

Not So Brave was an incredible read. I was moved to the max. I read this book within a three to four hour period. I will read it again to absorb more of the details because my emotions got a hold on me throughout the book. What kept me fascinated with your book was the warmth, the love and the devotion that you all posess. GD brings people together for a reason. When I awoke the next morning after your reading your book, my first thought was, "Wow that was really a great book." Thank you so much for spreading the word about Organ Donation. I know if you get through the right media channels your book has all the potential to be a big success and hit the movie scene. Risa Founder of TransplantBuddies.org
