JD Jakubcin has produced a witty and wonderful poetry collection describing the ironies of life in Central Florida. Her second book came out in 2013, a historical fiction entitled The Adventures of Dysingli Soon. The word "Dysingli" was invented by the author from the name Dyson, the author's maiden name. She grew up in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio and has lived in Central Florida since graduating from college in December 1984. Joanna earned a BS degree in Public Administration from Indiana University at Bloomington. Since then, she has held a variety of fascinating vocations, from urban planning to bookkeeping at a family trust office. Joanna's uniquely discerning view of the world, from the awkward to the glorious, derives in part from her cross-section of eccentric experiences.
