This is Grenada in the Caribbean, back in the 60's. It is a quiet little island, known as the Spice Island because of the nutmeg exports. Here, Ken Knight takes tourists out on his trimaran, Shalako, in the nearby waters to snorkel and swim. One balmy evening, Ken witnesses a brutal attack on the beach, and intervenes to try and save the victim. Little did he know, that this act would catapult him into a dangerous and action packed time, trying to just stop the men trying to kill him. The man he saves turns out to be a government secret agent, and though he wants nothing to do with Ken, he is forced to use him to help solve this case, and end a devious plot for control and power. Ken's knowledge of the island, its peoples, and some of the businesses there, is invaluable in helping the agent throughout this adventure.
