Fantastic Tale of a Beloved Entertainer

Riveting! Tells the story of how a great young singer became one of America's Sweethearts, lost the love of her life, her career and then had to recreate herself from the ashes. I loved how she helped her mom out to escape a servitude job in Texas, how she joined the military as a little girl to stay close to her family and then how she switched areers later in life to provide for her own children. Lawrence Welk lost one of his hardest workers when he failed to recognize the talent of this great great lady. This is a must read for any Welk fan and all those who remember the incredible Roberta Linn.
