Not for Profit

By Kim Yesis

Finally, Mayenne Bay hits some high notes in its quest to revitalize its dull economy and inadequate housing, but it must also grapple with loss: the sudden departure of a beloved public servant, the death of a popular celebrity, destruction from a violent storm, and a rash of thefts all over town.Meanwhile, the life Claire Munro has cultivated in Mayenne Bay-her standing, her job, her love life, her home-threatens to fall apart. Her new partner, Guy Gardiner, is pulled away by crises of his own, leaving Claire to fend for herself. Every way she turns, her future is in question. Despite all this, Claire's acute powers of observation and her helping hand to those in need combine to reveal a betrayal that forces the town to alter its course.
