"Not bad, Bubba " may not sound a typical Machiavellian cry but rest assured, when uttered by dilletante Warrick Laudanum-Standton, the three words prove themselves true to the original owner when used by the unscrupulous 21st Century wannabe.
With querulous schoolteacher Dick, the prick, McCausland as a foretaste, the disgraced schoolboy, once bitten and not at all shy, goes on to pursue his twisted, sicko ambition in practices hard to imagine, never mind believe.
"Upset Warwick Laudanum-Standton and he'll make sure you live on and on and continuously regret whatever your deed," being Warwick's call of the day.
A sumptuous Venetian palazzo, bequeathed to him by Contessa Clementine Lorenzo, a frivolous yet doting aunt, creates a colourful background and inspiration for many of the "Not bad, Bubba " happenings. As does a lavish, duplex penthouse in London's exclusive Chelsea Harbour overlooking The Thames as opposed to The Grand Canal.
Supporting Warwick on his sinister quest is Vincent his loyal Jack Russell terrier who proves himself a dog of many talents and a role model for Vincent, The Dog Detective, canine hero of endless bestsellers.
