During the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the military as service to his country. After his Honorable Discharge, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2007, he graduated with a Master's Degree in Education, which by his own account was solely a personal achievement. In 2013, he graduated from a medical assisting program as the class valedictorian. He was also elected into the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society. Afterward, he passed the CMA (AAMA) Certification Examination with a high score of 91%, but, due to unforeseen circumstances, he was unable to continue in the medical assisting field. In 2015, he received the Governor's Volunteer Leadership Award from Arizona Governor Janice K. Brewer. In 2019, he is publishing his sixth, and seventh book. His earlier books have been retired.
