Nostradamus, the 16th-century prophet by whom all other prophets are judged, left a legacy of cryptic predictions that have puzzled interpreters for centuries. Manfred Dimde believes he has cracked... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I would give it a 5, but a lot of the stuff Dimde suggests is unsupported by the book. It is the best book I have found for getting the actual text and making a sense of the text that Nostradamus wrote. The book begins by explaining how the Nostrodamus texts were eventually 'cracked' and then goes through Dimde' interpretation of them. I enjoy reading the 'how' of Dimde's conclusions after reading the actual translations in the back, but I don't fully agree with them. Even though I don't completely agree it is very helpful to get his impressions because it helped me to start trying to interpret the raw Nostradamus quadrains. The gem, for me, is the rear of the book. It has the Nostradamus predictions from 2000-2100 translated into english. As with any translation it is colored by Dimde's presonal views, but after reading the rest of the book it is easy to 'look through' the text to develop your own interpretation. I am no scholar of Nostrasamus, but for someone who wants a vague sense of what may be coming up I found the book worth-while. Looking over the predictions for 2000-2005 as translated in the book has not been enough to convince me that Notradamus is accurate, but for general feel the book as been good. And I think we will be able to make some solid conclusions by 2013 if the translations hold.
