Norbert Zongo is a Burkinabe journalist and writer born in 1949, he was assassinated in 1998. Convinced of his mission for his country, Norbert Zongo very early on became involved in the political life of his country by denouncing, condemning and fighting against the abuses and excesses of the regime of his time. Founder of the weekly newspaper L'Ind pendant and author of two novels (Le Parachutage and Rougb inga), he led a fierce fight against all the social and societal ills of his time like a hero unafraid of the price to pay. Zongo is not only an emblematic figure of justice and freedom of the press in his country but he is also a symbol of hope for all of Africa which welcomes with an open heart this herald, eternal hero. This book, Norbert Zongo: the man and the work, has the merit of paying tribute to this great and distinguished man by highlighting all of his productions: literary and journalistic. It is divided into two parts. The first examines Zongo's literary output using several text analysis frameworks, and the second examines his journalistic output from several perspectives.
