When stopping time, two laws must be followed.
1. Stop time only when it is absolutely necessary.
2. When you take time, you must give it back.
Noori has it all. A top-end job. A cosy flat with a view of the city. A group of friends she loves. Even a diagnosis of ADHD She's moments away from submitting her life's work, Errant's Law, to an animation showcase, something she's been dreaming of since the epic tale was first revealed to her in a daydream.
All in all, life's really working out for her.
Noori also has a habit of stopping time and as a result, has been called to court to answer for her time debt. With the court hearing the same day as her submission, Noori has little time to complete Errant's Law and think of and execute a plan to evade the consequences of her debt. One wrong move and her ability to stop time and her chance to fulfil her dreams may be lost forever.
And she's panicking of course, because if she can't have control over time, she can't have it all.
