A joy, my niece loved it

Great fun, just the right amount of spookiness. My niece was riveted as the story built, and then giggled like mad at the climax and immediately wanted to hear it again. Good characters, charming illustrations of the great African setting, and a creative, visually playful resolution. I've read a lot of books with my niece but this is a favorite.
