Extra Interesting Because We've Seen the Authors in Action!

As a dating/relationship author and online advisor I'm always interested in what others have to say about this popular subject. So when this book appeared I went out and bought it right away.First off, I think that this is a good book that most young women will enjoy reading. Since we already know so much about these authors in a dating sense (we visited their homes and met their families!), it makes for interesting reading.Bachelor II was my favorite in the series because there were actually high expectations that this format would work. Since then the romance/reality angle was become overworked and I think Trista and Ryan finally burned us out.But I think these women have something interesting to say. After all, they are intelligent women who have probably been obsessed with the dating subject for a few years now. Some of the highlights include:* Look Beyond Looks: Looks have become less important for me. I don't care if he's on the cover of GQ magazine, if doesn't treat me well, what's that? Nothing.* Pump Your Own Gas: Gwen has had luck at the self-service island. "Guys will pump gas right next to me and they'll peer around and start talking. You'd be surprised how many people do that."* Make Sure He's Single: Be wary of the separated but not divorced. Somebody's who's already in a relationship and trying to start another one would be a deal breaker.* Watch For Family Ties: Listen to what the guy says, about his relatives. If a guy has a good connection with his mother, it says a lot. If there are problems with his family, they'll be problems for you.I'm sure that there will be some people who want to criticize this book, but it is done in a lighthearted way and truly reflects what these women have personally experienced. They also don't profess to be "know-it-alls" which is refreshing. Hopefully, they won't be carrying around too much emotional baggage from their experiences on The Bachelor. I've always contended on my radio interviews that the format that Gwen and Helene participated in doesn't work. An old American proverb reads: a man chases a woman until she catches him. In "The Bachelor" the women do the chasing, and the man ends up with a bigger ego and wants both more women and more challenging women. So for Gwen and Helene I hope this book does well and that people will benefit from their unique position as celebrity authors and a pretty good lighthearted book.

They're not all Jerks if you ask Himm2 behave.

It's been 30 years since I sat down and read a 200+ page book from cover to cover in one sitting. I did this last night with Helene & Gwen's book. It is very easy reading especially for people who are use to this message board. Each chapter describes a different type of guy that should be either dealt with, corrected or avoided all together. It is done with delightful humor, incite and guidance in a short story format. I bought Bob Guiney's book but got bored to death with his excessive explanations of himself and could only skim and look at the pictures. "Nobody's Perfect" is actual a self-help guidebook and entertaining reading....stories we can all relate to, even for a male reading this book. Helene and Gwen did an excellent job and can be very proud of this. It's definately worth the few bucks it cost. I can't decide whether Aaron should be classified as "Senor Don Juan", "Mr. Me Me Me" or "Mr. Cad". Our poor Bob is "King of Denial".

I thought this book was funny too, from a guy's perspective!

My wife bought this book last night at our local Barnes and Noble and I happened to read some of it after I heard her laughing on the sofa. I thought it was pretty damn funny. I can't believe there are guys out there who make women pay for dinner and anything else, guys with such bad manners, and guys who would treat girls with little or no respect as to cheat on them and stuff. And to cheat on these girls is totally ridiculous!! Overall, I think it's a funny book for anyone to read. I'm glad that my wife bought it and I decided to be open minded and pick it up.

A must read for all singles- or people who have "been there"

This book was so funny! My friends and I sat around reading some of the stories out loud and we could have sworn that they were about the same people we dated in the past! Gwen and Helene put together a witty, creative, hilarious book that is fun for everyone!! The book would be a great gift, especially around Valentine's Day!

An overall great book!

I just got my preordered copy of this book and it is great. If you are a Bachelor or reality tv fan, this book is a must read. I followed the whole Bachelor 2 show and the whole controversy between Aaron and Helene and I am happy to see that she can take such a light hearted stance to dating even after dating that jerk. This book reminded me of my past years of dating and I am recommending it to all of my friends, both male and female. You go girls!!!!
