Nothing new ever happens in Kentown, Missouri. The county's largest employer, the Kentown Paper Mill covers the sparse population in a cloudy, sulphuric stench. Chase, a former Army veteran, leads a mundane existence shoveling wood chips into a grinder and pushing a rusty red button along the factory line. His few pleasures include hunting, fishing and being alone, but when a fishing trip goes awry it could be just what Chase needs to find something resembling happiness.
