You journey with him through his life growing up feeling rejected, unwanted, and unloved by his parents and God. Throughout his childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, Deontae searches for his roots, his biological father. In his struggles, he seeks to win the approval and acceptance of others by any means, which includes being an overachiever and living on the dark side of drug use, rebellion, inner turmoil, depression, and attempted suicide. After several extraordinary experiences, Deontae finds himself and his roots, rising above the madness and darkness, finding faith, love, and his father.
