"It's so dark only the moon lights my vision, even though I don't want to see what is in front of me. This darkness is like no other, it comes with a fear, a kind of terror so chilling, and numbing, it freezes my entire body. I want to keep my eyes closed, but still the moonlight insists that I see. Later, I would learn it was the light that kept me from fading away, to remind me I am still alive. In the end, when the night is over and I do survive, I know the moonlight truly saved my life."My story is to let others know that I was just a young girl, maybe just like you, where life started out so kind and through all the hard and sometimes unbearable moments we can come out stronger. You cannot only survive but be better sometimes and maybe eventually even be proud of the misfit you are. Today I am a wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, niece, Gramma, survivor, beautiful misfit, writer, and now an author! I GOT THIS!
