A kind of romance that makes you often sigh wistfully while you read it...

As one other reviewer noted, the passion is not as "hot" in this book, but that means not exceedingly sexually specific with the hot & heavy stuff. The hero & heroine definitely desire each other, and we are swept along in a surprisingly gentle yet loving & always captivating romance that I absolutely loved reading! I was reluctant to read this book at first because of what was written on the back cover, because it sounded so hum-drum. But this book is anything but hum-drum, and Michelle Reid creates two very loveable and likeable characters that have us rooting for them from page one; at least, I did. I loved the erotic encounter these 2 had in the dark at the beginning of this story--sparks definitely were flying and kept me turning the pages fast! Enough was written in the other review(s) about the basic storyline, except perhaps to add that Nina's character is a very fiery spirited tempered virgin who is quite afraid of the intense passionate nature that Anton awakens in her; actually they are afraid of each other for that same reason, but cannot stay away from each other. Aren't we often afraid of giving our hearts to someone else? That is probably the most frightening thing we can do, because it gives the other person power over our emotional well-being. Anton is not the typical hateful mean-spirited jerk that I have gotten tired of seeing in these romances; instead, he has a heart and it is obvious how much he cares for Nina--except, of course, to her. I hope this review helps you decide to read this book, because I have read hundreds of romances, and this one is a keeper to read again one day. My favorite authors are Lynne Graham. Michelle Reid, & Helen Bianchin. I am now trying out Sarah Morgan, and have found a couple books that I like of hers. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd love to hear from you!

Loved this Book!

I simply loved this book. I loved the characters, their chemistry and the story. You could read this book in one go. This book is truly romantic and makes you wish you were Nina!

Not one of her best

From the back cover:'Nina despised Anton Lakitos with every bone in her body. She was convinced that it was the sleekly arrogant Greek property developer who had ruined her father's health, because of his desire to add Lovell's to his list of convquests. But she discovered, Anton wasn't prepared to stop there; he was hell-bent on buying Nina too, and she waw faced with the kind of dilemma every loyal daughter dreaded - should she watch Anton ruthlessly break her father's heart, or attempt to keep the company in the family by marrying the man she hated?'It is the usual run of the mill marraige of convenience kind of story although Ms. Reid does add her usual twist at the end. But the kind of passion expected from her writing is missing in this one.
