No Time To Explain Game is one of the stranger indie games on Xbox One. It is best described as a physics-based platformer. You play the part of a time traveler, visited by your future self and given a beam weapon at the start, which you use to blast your way over, under, and through obstacles as you pursue your villainous foe across multiple time periods. As you progress, you will use different mechanics beyond the basic starting beam weapon. In one zone, you're clad in a straight-jacket and must swing your way through instant-death wall areas. In another, you're a sort of frogman clone of yourself, sling-shotting your way around using your tongue. In yet another, you must blast yourself past the obstacles using the recoil from a powerful shotgun. There is even a sidescrolling shoot-em-up portion, simplistic though it may be.
